As many Denverites are licking their lips and salivating while pouring over the scrumptious menus being unveiled for Denver Restaurant Week, the CEC Middle College of Denver is adopting its own version of the popular culinary event.
The Culinary Arts class at CEC has established a mini version of the popular foodie event—Eliot Street Restaurant Week. This version will feature several gourmet lunch options from February 25-28—Tuesday through Friday of Restaurant week. A four-course meal will be offered for $8.50 and patrons will be treated to fresh baked rolls, a choice of entrée, dessert and coffee or tea. Lunch will be served from 11:30am-1:30pm. Reservations are recommended for this special event. To book your table for Restaurant week, contact Chef Trish at 720.423.6645.
The Eliot Street Café is not only a learning environment for students who are interested in gaining skills in cooking, baking, restaurant management and operations, but it is a fully-operational business within the school. Students staff the café with the guidance of three chef instructors through the only program of its kind in DPS. The restaurant is open to the community for lunch, Tuesdays through Fridays during the fall and spring semesters, and hosts a special themed buffet one Friday a month. In addition, breakfast and catering services are available for gatherings, such as community or business meetings, parties, banquets and other special events. To learn more, visit the Eliot Street Cafe link on our website.
All members of the community are invited to experience The Eliot Street Café whether for Restaurant Week or any other time during the semester. Service will begin on January 28th for the 2014 spring semester and run through the end of May. Hours are 11:30am-1:30pm, Tuesdays through Friday. The Café is located inside the CEC Middle College of Denver, located at 2650 Eliot Street, Denver 80211. Patrons should use the east parking lot and entrance to the school.
Enjoy a unique dining experience while helping CEC students gain knowledge and hands-on skill in the culinary arts.
